Located in Western Australia, south of Darwin, El Questro Homestead is an exclusive, private retreat lost in the heart of the rugged Kimberley landscape.
El Questro Homestead consists of just 9 rooms and is set in a 400,000-acre nature park reminding us of the Wild West. The park is a mix of canyons in ochre colour, vast forests, vertiginous gorges, hot springs and arid and wild areas.
Some of the rooms of the homestead, located on the edge of a steep escarpment where the Chamberlain River flows, have a wooden veranda facing the immensity and feature an antique open air bath, high bay windows, a sober and contemporary decor where woods and tin roofs dominate.
In this peaceful setting, far from any civilization, there are numerous activities, all guided by specialists: trips in the savannah dotted with improbable baobab trees and impressive rock formations, 4×4 rides, walks or horse rides.
Fishing and boat trips on the river, helicopter flights, swimming in the hot springs, visit of the Purnululu National Park or an introduction to the local life of the region’s ranches and their numerous herds.
