Rincon del Socorro

Away from the usual tourist trails, Rincon del Socorro is a former ranch lost in the Esteros del Ibera, the marshy lagoons of the Province of Corrientes in the northwest of Argentina.

Located in a natural and untouched sanctuary with flooded plains, the estancia, which belonged to a family of farmers, consists of a 19th century building restored in a traditional local spirit.

There are only 9 rooms in total, in the main house or in the gardens, which have a rustic simplicity. Their style recalls the colonial atmosphere of South American estancias with high ceilings, white walls, tiles or tomette tiles with openwork shutters.

Besides the library and its books on fauna and flora, Rincon del Socorro has its own stables and its important Quincho: a space reserved for the barbecue, where you can enjoy, in a totally authentic environment, grilled Argentinian meats accompanied by homemade bread, vegetables from the vegetable garden and wines from the country’s vineyards.

But the distinctiveness of this isolated hotel primarily comes from its natural environment with its semi-aquatic landscapes that can be explored on foot, by 4X4, riding a horse, by bike or by boat … Natural reserve and paradise for ornithology lovers, Rincon del Socorro is strongly involved in the preservation of its ecosystem and implements environmental projects through “The Conservation Land Trust”.
