Knai Bang Chatt

The owners of Knai Bang Chatt created an exclusive retreat with the wish to offer an authentic approach to the local life. These art and history enthusiasts hunted down some collector pieces and Khmers antiquities now placed in the 18 rooms of this very charming place. Located on the South East coast of Cambodia, in the village of Kep, prized by the former French settlers for its seaside, Knai Bang Chatt resembles a family house and transmits a peaceful simplicity. Here the furniture is scarce and the polished concrete rubs shoulder with natural material such as teak, stone and bamboo. Following the owner’s wishes, the stay at Knai Bang Chatt is punctuated by experiences organised by the local people. Numerous excursions are on offer, from the exploration of Kep and the surrounding countryside or the tropical forest of the National Park. Boat trips through the mangrove lead us to fishing villages or to the islands and a traditional Spa emphasises on relaxation and meditation. Knai Bang Chatt defends with passion the culture of a gastronomy “in the middle of nowhere”, offering a fresh and healthy cuisine, based on seafood and on the spices from the area.
